ISD contributing expertise to project: Nature-Based Solutions for resilience in Adriatic-Ionian region
The ADRION region is a hotspot of climate change. The consequences are evident and increasingly frequent: flooding, droughts, landslides, storms, and wildfires. The impacts of these events on individuals, communities, and regions vary, depending on their vulnerability...
Contribution to projects
At the Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD), we contribute to projects in two key ways: hands-on involvement and strategic support.
Through hands-on involvement, we lead or co-lead projects—taking charge of planning, coordination, fieldwork, and day-to-day implementation. This allows us to work directly with communities and partners to drive meaningful change.
On the other hand, our strategic support role involves contributing our expertise in areas such as research, policy input, training, and partnership-building. In these cases, we act as collaborators or knowledge partners, helping strengthen the impact of broader initiatives without being directly responsible for implementation.
Together, these modes of engagement allow ISD to remain flexible, responsive, and impactful across a range of sustainable development efforts.
